I am perfectly ok with 5 on Sundays. And I know a lot of you feel the same. However, I have had several people tell me they cant make it at that time. We need to find a time when everyone can be there and participate in the discussion. Reading the logs later is fine if you have to miss one, but it cant replace participation in our discussion sessions. So, lets try to find a time when EVERYONE can be there.

Also, I think mid-week chats would be good for individual teams. Just a thought.

While I agree that it is very important for the teams to meet, I think it would be much more important to come up with a time for all the Leads to get together.
While a big class meeting is important, I think the possibilities of everyone being at the same place at the same time is less likely, also, I am not sure exactly what meeting as a big group would accomplish. What would the agenda for such a meeting entail?
Teams need to set on their own meeting times that work for them and the Team Leads should do the same.

I can access the school provided chat *any* time or day of the week… even at work. So I am very free and open to whenever anyone wants to meet. I however cannot load any IM type of programs on my computer because my company works with the DoD and IM proggies are considered a security risk. So as long as its school, I am available 24/7.

I'm in the same boat with the DoD restrictions except mine are DHS restrictions. I can actually load the classes chat program at work…for now. They may remove the ability to use it if I use it often. Chat programs tend to leave backdoors open for intruders into our networks. :(

Let's start a thread where people can post if they CANT make it to a chat, so we know.

I agree with chat times for the leads and even a mid week, optional check-in chat time for the whole group.

I usually have weekends off so Sundays at 5 is fine for me. I usually get home by 4:30 the latest 5 pm so anytime after that during weekdays will work for me.

Just let me know when the Art team will be chatting…it looks like the leads are reserved for Sunday night chat at 5.

I think we should ave 2 required chat sessions per week. I would like for the team leads to meet with me in one session on Sunday nights. Before that, the team leads should meet with their teams to get updates so they know what we need to talk about in the team lead meeting on Sunday. Sorry to give the leads an extra meeting, but I really think it will keep things running smoother if we dont have 20 people randomny bantering at one another in one big chat session. How does that sound to everyone?

that sounds cool for me. That Sunday meeting at 5pm EST worked well… any other day is fine.
